Christmas at Stars Splendid

CHRISTMAS ALREADY!!!

That is what is heard from so many, as us retailers set up our Holiday goods.  With so many people now starting to decorate their homes the day or weekend after Thanksgiving, we have to be ready to show you what we have and what you can do with it.  My space has a very festive feel and the pieces I have selected have been carefully gathered over the past six months.  I hope you stop by and pick up a few things to add to your own Holiday trimmings.

Have a WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING!

Live life & the HOLIDAYS well decorated!, Jary.

Autumn is in the air at STARS!!!

Well, last monday was labor Day, and I was laboring resetting the stars space.

Rearranged the furniture and added in some new black tables I had been working on.

Added in a few more chandeliers, and all the fall items I had been collecting.

I just love this time of year as you can see, and I must admit it is a LABOR of love doing this.

I hope you enjoyed the photos, and stop by and check out the new look.

Take care and Happy Collecting, Jary.

New finds from Seattle to Portland

Last weekend my best friend Patt and I made a trip up to seattle for a friends 40th birthday celebration (HAPPY BDAY TIM)

and to look at his new retail space in the Georgetown area of Seattle.  We hit a few garage, 2nd hand and a sample sales and found a few great things.  I will be working on theses soon for the Stars & Found on Fremont spaces.

Until next time, happy hunting for great decor and designs to you, J.

More photos of the Stars SPLENDID set up.

Here are a few more photos I took of the new space the following day.  We were exhausted after the whole day of installing fixtures and placing merchandise and then frosting it with small little props like a cherry on a cake.  Many compliments were given while we were setting up and even a few shoppers the 1st day.  A HUGE THANK YOU!!! to Denny & Patt, you 2 are the best people in my life, thanks for the help and support.
Please come visit, be inspired, and even buy a few pieces if you like.  Take care J.

I'm seeing STARS!!!

Today I moved into Stars SPLENDID in the Sellwood area of Portland Oregon.  A great multi-vendor space for us to show & sell our wares, like a french flea market.  With the help of Denny & Patt, we packed up, hauled, constructed, unwrapped, displayed and hooshed the space to utterly fabulousness!!!  Much more photos to follow, just so glad to be moved in.  Please come visit and shop and let me know what you think.  As always, Happy Decorating, J.

MOVING ON UP.

Today we (Denny, Patt, & myself) moved my space upstairs at Found On Fremont.  Lonnie from Saavy will be taking over the business and the first floor starting August 1st.  This was the only time I could move since next week I am setting up a space at STARS SPLENDID and the following week vacationing in California.  We made a new fixture for the space and created a seasonal focal set up at the front.  This is our Summer Vintage Rose theme.  I hope you all get the chance to stop in and see the new set up.  Also stop by Stars Splendid in a few weeks and check out that new space.  We have created a great new look for it and we are excited to set it up.  Many THANKS! to Patt & Denny for all your help and support.  Take care J.

2 NEW REFURBED TABLES

This first table was a garage sale find that the owner used to keep her large birdcage on.  It was unfinished and unloved.  I was inspired by another table I ran across in a home magazine, so I painted it, this rich teal blue/green color with gold leaf accents.  I then rubbed in an antique pantina glaze just to age it up a bit.  I love the way it tuned out, I hope someone will have a place in their home for it.

This second table was a curbside rescue in poor repair, that someone had nailed a larger piece of plywood on top.  I removed the plywood, (which I have already reused in another project), and painted up the table in this FUN green.  I tiled the top in blue & green, and was excited when I found this perfect sized & colored plate at a garage sale.  I just have to find a home for it now, so let me know if you know of anyone who would love these tables.

Thanks, and have a GREAT day, J.
